WELCOME TO BENEATH THE SURFACE
Beneath the Surface believes the world's most complex questions deserve thoughtful conversations. Through expert perspectives, we make deep-sea mining more accessible, balanced, and understandable.

Who am I?
My name is Aiden Kuo, and I'm a senior at Choate Rosemary Hall. Growing up in Hong Kong and studying in the United States has given me an appreciation for different perspectives and reinforced my belief that one of life's greatest purposes is to keep learning.
I'm fascinated by the intersection of politics, economics, and science, especially how public policy shapes the world's most complex challenges. Whether I'm writing, conducting research, following current events, or speaking with experts, I'm always looking for opportunities to better understand the ideas and actions that impact our future. To that end, deep sea mining offers a uniquely dynamic challenge, one that intertwines cutting-edge technology and international policy-making with environmentalism and economics.
PODCAST HUB🎙️

Through conversations with scientists, policymakers, industry leaders, economists, environmental advocates, and other experts, I attempt to shed light on one of the world's most complex and debated emerging industries.
